My Name is Red

ambiental installation

The photographs of naked men, projections of images, a message, and two pairs of unique, silk women’s shoes make for the unusual combination that forms this ambient installation titled My Name Is Red. By using the archives of existing visual and textual samples, as well as elements from everyday life, the author draws from the collective and individual experience to create new meanings and interpretations intertwined with traces of past. This work re-examines our infatuation with ideology and authority, but without the irony or cynicism, thus enabling us to make our own conclusions.
