Up until the other half of the 20th century men were sporting a moustache or a beard, as well as hairy chests. Today we are bombarded by media and its vision of the world that we are living in, showing us how our life is supposed to look like. How are we supposed to look like. This video installation is a rebellion against the twisted image of the “real man” as much as a gesture of support for proud owners of the “love rug”.
Luka Hrgović was born in Zagreb in 1986. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts, Animation and new media department, Zagreb. During his studies Hrgović worked with fi lm, animation and shorts. He participated in numerous film revues and festivals winning several prizes for his work.
Duje Medić was born in Makarska in 1986. In 2005 he enrolled in the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, Graphics arts department. In 2007, together with six colleagues from the Academy Medić founded an association “Ilirski zmaj” with an intention to promote visual arts.
